Position Description

The One Utah Service Fellowship is an AmeriCorps program that provides opportunities for young adults to participate in sustainable and high-impact service to address the critical priorities and needs in Utah while supporting debt-free pathways to higher education. Stokes Nature Center is Cache Valley’s local nonprofit nature center providing nature education and promoting outdoor exploration of our natural world to people of all ages. Job Summary: - This position is 25 per week for 12 months - Minimum of 1200 hours Responsibilities may include: - Assisting with community outreach events, such as booths and community fairs - Managing Google ad words and analytics to ensure successful marketing - Exhibit development, set up and revision at the nature center - Support for education events for snowshoeing, hiking, and field trips - Developing partnerships with community groups and organizations - Developing or expanding volunteer program - Community Engagement Support

Qualifications

Eligibility Requirements: Be 17 years of age or older Have a high school diploma or GED Pass State & Federal background checks Be a U.S. Citizen, National, or Legal Permanent Resident

Member Benefits and Responsibilities

Member benefits and details: - Fellow will receive a living allowance equivalent to $10/hour (total living allowance = $12,000) while serving - Upon completion, successful fellows earn an education award of $5,176.50, which can be used for education costs up to cost of attendance or for eligible student loan repayment - Fellows may qualify for loan deferment and interest forbearance on federally- guaranteed student loans, with potential interest repayment while serving - Access to Member Assistance Program: Includes free telephonic mental health counseling, professional assessments, webinars, and exclusive discounts
