FAQ:
Am I allowed to attend the program with my child?
Yes, parents are welcome to attend as chaperones free of charge. All parents must check their student in at the beginning of the program. We encourage chaperones to assist our educators throughout the program. Discipline and keeping students focused can be especially challenging in an outdoor setting, so we ask that you help to facilitate a safe and calm learning environment for all students.
I have a young child that can’t be left behind during the program. Can I bring them along?
Yes, you may bring your little ones along to the program. As long as they aren’t participating in the program, there is no fee for children 3 and under that need to tag along. Our program sites will typically have picnic tables, pavilions, or other areas where younger children can stay with an adult while the program is running.
I am signed up for session one, but I had something come up that conflicts with one of the dates. Can I switch into the other session?
Please reach out to schools@logannature.org to discuss any scheduling conflicts, but the answer is usually yes, you can switch into the other session if needed! Just contact us first so we can confirm and know when to expect your homeschooler.
How to Plan for your Homeschool Visit:
Program details and resources will be sent out via email closer to each program date. This will include important information to go over with your students such as expectations, how to dress, and cancellation policies (all programs are subject to change or cancellation based on weather, road conditions, public health and safety).
Drinking fountains and bathrooms may be limited or not accessible at all at program sites depending on location and time of year.
Please prepare your students to be outside the entire time. Students should dress in layers and have appropriate shoes for the weather (in winter, no tennis shoes please, in fall/spring, no sandals - closed-toe shoes only, please!)
