Summer Camps

Our Summer Camps are built with students in mind. Our high-quality and experienced instructors specialize in making learning about nature safe and fun. Students will learn about a new nature topic each day, explore Cache National Forest, and discover all of what our over 1.6 million acre backyard has to offer!

Our Summer Camps’ mission is to connect youth to our local ecosystem through fun, informative, and inspiring experiences in Cache National Forest.

PreK-8th Grade Camp Offerings:

Each week, summer camp groups will have fun in the National Forest and learn about Logan Canyon’s Geology, Hydrology, Plants, Animals, and Human History or other special topics.

Our instructors

Each Camp group has 2 dedicated instructors. Our instructors are hand-picked because of their experience, knowledge, and dedication to quality education. All instructors have extensive experience working with youth, wilderness safety and first aid training, and a joy for what they do.

In order to uphold our dedication to safety, all of our instructors will have First Aid and CPR certification, and have a first aid kit.

6th-8th Grade camp special topics

June 16-17: Pollinator Camp

Does your camper like to learn about bugs and flowers? In this two-day camp we will be learning about all things pollinators. This includes beekeeping, catching and identifying native bees and butterflies, and learning about pollen. This camp will involve working with and handling stinging insects.

June 18-20: art of observation camp

This camp will be focused on exploring the natural world through art. Campers will learn how to make and keep nature journals, weave baskets, make driftwood art, and cyanotype fabric.

5th-8th Grade Fly Fishing Camp: July 30-Aug 1, 8:30-3pm

Pickup and Dropoff location will be 1st Dam. Learn how to fly fish and go home with all of the gear you need to keep up this life-long sport!

Join master anglers from Cache Anglers, the Northern Utah Chapter of Trout Unlimited, and learn all of the skills you need to find good fish habitat, and catch them.

This Camp is made possible through the generous sponsorship of Cache Anglers.

Drop-off and Pick-up will be at First Dam Parking Lot. Drop-off time is 8:30am and pickup is 3pm. Please remember to be on time, and to sign your child in and out each day.
